Facebook API issue preventing Instagram account access

Following on from our integration into the new Instagram Graph API developed by Facebook, it appears that the number of connections they received has caused an error with their platform.

When you connect a Facebook Page within our platform, we also ask Facebook for the Instagram ID attached to that Page. We have noticed that ~65% of Facebook Pages connected recently have not had this ID provided to us by Facebook.

Fortunately, it's a known issue for Facebook, and they're actively trying to get it fixed.

We're tracking the issue on Facebook Developer Support, and we'll keep you up to speed on when the issue is fixed.

 

Update from 26th August:

We have recieved an update from Facebook regarding this bug, and it's not great.

Their representative has said that the bug won't be fixed in the short term, and offer a possible workaround for the issue, which is copied verbatim below.

If you follow this advice, please try reconnecting in NowSignage. If you see the Instagram icon, then Facebook have correctly assigned your Instagram account to your Facebook page.

While we wait for the improvement to arrive in the long term, as a workaround, you can convert the Instagram business account back to personal account and then convert back to business account either via:
However, the media insights (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/reference/media/insights) will be lost when converting back to personal account. You may want to read and save the media insights before converting.
 
If the workaround does not work for you, I'm afraid that you'll have to wait for the future improvements.
