The cutting-edge digital signage firm NowSignage has completed a round of hiring for their UK-based software engineering division as it aims to implement a greater set of features within their cloud-based platform and the introduction of an app store which includes integrations with a diverse range of third-party software such as Microsoft Power BI.
The sharp uptick in demand for the company’s software offerings has spurred the recent hiring wave that concluded after three months in June 2019, which will allow the company to pursue a greater range of opportunities across all areas of digital signage, and increase the range of compatible hardware options including system-on-chip (SoC), and out-of-the-box integrations with leading display manufacturers.
The software team at NowSignage now boasts development experts in many aspects of traditional software development, including knowledge of emerging technologies such as machine learning and real-time communications.
NowSignage’s Chief Technology Officer, Matt Ryder said of the recent investment, “We’re really proud to have signed a number of really bright developers, and I believe that with the talent available to us, we’ll be able to deliver reliable features faster and help our customers get their message out in a crowded marketplace.”
The recruitment drive follows on from the relocation in March 2019 to a larger premises, based at the Towers Business Park in East Didsbury.
The software engineering team will work out of the company’s Manchester-based headquarters, and coordinate with the Leeds-based sales office to develop features based on customer feedback.
