The NowSignage team are very proud to present a new release of our Android app, for Digital Signage version 2.4.0, that is now available for all supported devices, on both Google Play and Amazon App Store as well as direct through our Content Delivery Network.
We worked with a few of our customers to implement features that we knew were great additions to the platform, and we’re grateful for their feedback and time while developing this update.
Web Animations provided by Visual ID
Visual ID are a digital asset management company, based in Dublin, Ireland. They offer a range of tools for creating and distributing a brand’s digital marketing collateral, and are a long-time partner of NowSignage.
NowSignage were approached about a possible integration with their digital asset management platform, and we set about implementing a system to securely download their HTML5-based “Web Animations” and display them as an item within your NowSignage loops.
As of today, this feature is now live in our Android App for Digital Signage for all new and existing customers.

Implemented a check for future types of content to prevent a crash on a pre-release asset.

Fixed a bug where an announcement could be sent to a screen without having the widget configured.
