To support quick and efficient service, Snowflake Gelato adopted a connected technology setup that combines Toast’s self-service kiosks and POS systems with Hikvision commercial-grade displays, all powered by the NowSignage CMS.

Whether launching a new seasonal flavour or promoting limited-time offers, the platform allows for quick and easy content updates, ensuring information is always accurate, brand-consistent, and relevant to each site.

The platform’s scheduling and playlist features have also given Snowflake added flexibility in how they manage screen content throughout the day. By separating core menu items from promotional campaigns, the team can build tailored playlists for each content type and schedule them accordingly, ensuring the right content plays at the right time without manual intervention.

The screens play a much bigger role than simply displaying menus. Snowflake uses a blend of image and video content to bring its desserts to life, showcasing close-ups of gelato scoops, pastry preparation, and pouring sauces that highlight the indulgent quality of its offering. In addition, Snowflake makes use of the Social Media feature to display selected customer comments and social posts directly on screens in-store.
