DisplayNote invites digital signage providers to drive more value from meeting room screens by bringing collaboration and signage together.
Using NowSignage alongside DisplayNote, meeting room displays can alternate between workplace communications when idle and one-touch collaboration when in use.
Belfast-based DisplayNote, which provides the experience operating layer that sits on top of room hardware to orchestrate collaboration, communications, and shared screen experiences today announced an open invitation to digital signage providers, resellers and workplace technology integrators to collaborate on enhancing digital signage capabilities in meeting spaces by layering DisplayNote’s call and app launching software alongside existing signage deployments.
The aim is to help the industry create simpler, more consistent screen experiences across the workplace building an ecosystem of easy-to-use collaboration tools for meeting rooms.

The opportunity: display screens spend much of the day underused
Across many organisations, shared screens are not in active use for significant portions of the working week. Workspace utilisation benchmarks have reported average meeting room utilisation of around 30%, leaving substantial “idle time” where screens are either powered down or showing non-purposeful content a missed opportunity for internal communications, wayfinding, brand messaging and ROI.
The approach: one screen, two modes
DisplayNote is working with NowSignage, a cloud-based digital signage CMS provider, to demonstrate how meeting room hardware can serve a dual purpose:
- Full-scale digital signage when the room is idle, managed through NowSignage
- One-touch collaboration when the room is in use, enabled through DisplayNote Launcher
- DisplayNote Launcher is designed to create a consistent, walk-up experience in meeting spaces supporting call and app launching, screen sharing, and simplified room interaction.
- NowSignage provides a cloud-based CMS that helps teams manage and distribute signage content across multiple displays.
